Hi, I’m Lilly Linkous, a student at the University of Georgia majoring in Health Promotion. I chose this field because I am passionate about improving health outcomes and helping people live healthier, more balanced lives. I am especially interested in how education, prevention, and access to resources can shape both individual well-being and community health.

Through my coursework and experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in public health, behavior change, and program planning. I have had the opportunity to work on projects focused on real-world health issues, which has strengthened my ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and apply what I’ve learned in meaningful ways.

In addition to my academic work, I have gained hands-on experience working with children and engaging in service-based activities. These experiences have helped me build strong interpersonal skills and have reinforced my passion for working directly with others. I have also had exposure to healthcare settings, where I observed how professionals support individuals’ physical and developmental needs, which further inspired my interest in pursuing a career in healthcare.

My experiences in both public health and hands-on environments have shaped my understanding of the importance of compassionate, person-centered care. I am particularly interested in roles that allow me to support individuals across the lifespan while also addressing broader health challenges within communities.

Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a career in healthcare where I can make a meaningful difference in people’s everyday lives. I am motivated by the opportunity to combine my knowledge of health promotion with direct patient interaction to improve outcomes, promote independence, and support overall well-being.
